Interim Pastor: Rev. Dr. Clinton E. Parker

He’s back!  Rev. Clinton and Debbie Parker have returned to Northside UMC. He is serving as a part-time interim pastor through June, 2017.  In July 2017, he will begin as our full-time interim Pastor until July 2018, when a new pastor will be appointed.

Clint was pastor 1985 – 1996 when the church held service in the Dennis Senior Center. Eventually the first phase of the present church building was constructed. From Northside he went on to serve the denomination and become a church consultant. Along the way he has taught in seminaries and travelled extensively. Finally before retiring in 2011 he pastored the First UMC in Chatham, MA.

“Returning to Northside has allowed me to reconnect with folks who have been in the congregation for years.  And, I am meeting new friends too, says Rev. Parker.  “This is still a very exciting, caring church family where there is a place for everyone.  It’s great to be home again.”

Together they moved to Beverly and then to Peabody, Massachusetts where they had their 5 beautiful daughters. While living in Peabody, they opened a bakery, The Teahouse Floreal. They often vacationed on the Cape and fell in love with it. When they decided to retire in 2001, they came to Cape Cod! Together, Ken and Ann enjoy playing golf, listening to the Symphony and enjoying the local performing arts. Over the years they have been blessed with 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Soon after Ann arrived to the Cape, she started her position here at Northside. She loves coming here and seeing all the wonderful people living the word of the Lord. Ann says, "This is my piece of heaven on earth" and she will be celebrating 55 years of marriage this September with her husband Ken.
